1. Introduction
Welcome to CORPUS: Wrapped Chat Recap, a mobile application developed and owned by FLUX YAZILIM SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("FLUX", "we," "us," "our"). CORPUS lets you import chat export files from messaging apps to generate beautiful, visual "Wrapped"-style recaps — think message statistics, top words, emoji frequencies, activity patterns, and more.
Your conversations are deeply personal. This Privacy Policy explains clearly what data we process, how, and what choices you have. By using CORPUS, you agree to the practices described here.
2. A Core Principle: On-Device Processing
By design, your chat files are processed locally on your device. We do not upload, read, or store the contents of your conversations on our servers as part of the standard experience. Your messages stay on your phone.
The analytics, charts, and recap visuals are generated directly on your device from the file you import. Only if you choose to use optional cloud or AI-enhanced features (see Section 5) does any data leave your device — and even then, only the minimum necessary is shared.
3. What Data We Collect
a) Your Chat Export File (Processed Locally)
When you import a chat export file (e.g., from WhatsApp, iMessage, or other supported apps), CORPUS reads the file contents on-device to generate your recap. We do not transmit this file to our servers. The file remains under your control at all times.
b) Generated Recap Insights (Non-Identifying Metadata)
To improve the App, we may collect limited, aggregated, non-identifying metadata about which types of insights are generated most frequently (e.g., "emoji frequency chart viewed" or "top active hours chart generated"). This data does not include any of your message content, names, or personal identifiers.
c) App Usage & Device Data
We may collect non-content technical data to maintain and improve the App:
- Device type, operating system version, language, and App version
- App interaction events (e.g., which screens you visit, session duration, features used)
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
None of this data is linked to your chat content.
d) Content You Choose to Share
If you use CORPUS's sharing features to save or post your recap card (e.g., to Instagram, a messaging app, or your camera roll), that content is sent to the destination you choose. We do not intercept or store what you share — once you share it, it is governed by the destination platform's policies.
e) Subscription & Purchase Metadata
If you purchase CORPUS premium features via the App Store or Google Play, we may receive limited transaction metadata from the platform (subscription status, product ID, renewal timestamps). We do not receive your payment card details.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use data to:
- Generate your chat recap, statistics, and visual insights — entirely on your device
- Improve App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Understand which recap types are most popular to prioritize improvements
- Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the App
- Handle your subscription and any support or refund requests
We never use your chat content for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond generating your personal recap.
5. Optional Cloud & AI Features
Some advanced insight features may optionally use cloud-based AI processing (e.g., sentiment analysis or topic summarisation). These features are:
- Opt-in only — standard on-device processing is always available without enabling cloud features
- When used, only the minimum necessary text excerpts are sent — we strip direct identifiers and avoid sending full chat histories where possible
- Cloud processing is handled by trusted third-party AI providers under their own data processing agreements
- Any data sent for AI processing is used solely to generate the requested output and is not retained for training or profiling
If you do not enable these optional features, no message content ever leaves your device.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We never share your private chat conversations. We may share limited information only in these cases:
- Service Providers: Analytics and crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase, Google Analytics) process device and usage data on our behalf under contractual safeguards. They do not receive chat content.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
- Refund / Purchase Disputes: If you raise a refund dispute via Apple or Google, we may confirm limited, non-personal usage details (e.g., whether features were activated, usage timestamps). We never share message content for this purpose.
7. Data Retention
- Chat Files: Processed on-device; not retained on our servers. You control the file on your device.
- Aggregated Feature Metadata: Retained as needed to improve the App; never linked to individual users or message content.
- Usage & Diagnostic Data: Retained per our operational needs and third-party provider settings.
- Optional AI Processing Data: If used, retained briefly for troubleshooting or fraud prevention per provider terms, then deleted.
8. Third-Party Services
CORPUS uses the following third-party services for non-content operational purposes:
- Firebase (Google): Crash reporting, performance monitoring
- Google Analytics for Firebase: Aggregated usage analytics
These providers may collect device identifiers and usage events under their own privacy policies. You can manage analytics permissions in your device settings.
9. Security
We protect your data through:
- Local-only chat processing by default — your conversations never leave your device in the standard flow
- Encrypted communication for any App-to-server interactions
- Strict access controls on any server-side data
No system is fully immune to security risks. Keep your device locked and software updated. Contact us at support@lajon.co if you suspect a security issue.
10. Your Choices & Controls
- Keep Processing On-Device: Simply don't enable optional cloud/AI features — all core recap features work entirely locally.
- Delete Imported Files: After generating your recap, you can delete the imported chat file from your device.
- Opt Out of Analytics: Adjust analytics/tracking permissions in your device settings where available.
- Uninstall: Uninstalling the App stops all data collection from the App going forward.
- Request Data Deletion: Contact support@lajon.co to request deletion of any server-side data we hold about you.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:
- Access to personal data we hold
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
- Objection to or restriction of certain processing
- Data portability where applicable
- Withdrawal of consent (where processing is consent-based)

12. Children's Privacy
CORPUS is not intended for children under the legal age of digital consent in their country without parental or guardian permission. If we become aware that a child has used the App without appropriate consent, we will take steps to remove any related data.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves or legal requirements change. We will publish updates within the App and/or on our website. Continued use of CORPUS after an update means you accept the revised policy. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
